New Zealand Allocates NZ$6 Million for a New Monowai Valley Bridge

On 23 October, the government announced a NZ$6 million Regional Infrastructure Fund grant toward replacing the Monowai Suspension Bridge on Lake Monowai Road in Southland. The bridge supports access for local communities, businesses and visitors, with construction planned to finish by December 2027; public agencies and infrastructure advisers can explore project monitoring, investment dashboards and economic-impact analytics, while HPC can provide data-analysis support with pricing based on the project scope.
