Monaco-Ville Property Protection Law Introduces Fines of up to €100,000

On 28 October 2026, reporting confirmed that Monaco’s new law protecting the historic Rock of Monaco had entered into force following its publication in the Journal de Monaco. The rules introduce tighter controls over property sales, commercial-use changes, short-term rentals and building alterations, with administrative fines of up to €100,000 and possible daily penalties.
